Appointments

I serve Howard County, Maryland and surrounding areas. My hours are by appointment, Monday through Friday in the afternoons and evenings.

I schedule plenty of time for your appointment so you and your pet will receive the time and attention you need.

Preparing for your appointment:

  • Annual visits: Please collect a stool sample from each pet that is no more than 24 hours old so that I can check for intestinal parasites. If you have multiple cats that share a litterbox, collect several samples. Your best bet is to clean the box two days before an appointment so that you know that they are fresh. It’s fine if there is litter on the stool; it won’t affect my analysis.
  • If you have cats, please be sure to close all bedroom doors and your basement door. Cats have an innate ability to predict our visit and will hide under beds, washers and dryers and up in the ceiling of basements where we can’t catch them. How do they know this? Ask the animal communicator on my referral list. They ALWAYS know, even if I’ve never been out before! They probably pick it up from their owners. :) They tend to do much better at home but they shouldn’t be chased, so if they tend to be shy, it would be best to put them up in a bathroom before I come out.
  • If you have very nervous animals that have had traumatic experiences in the past, try giving them a little Rescue Remedy in a favorite treat about an hour before I’m scheduled to arrive. It’s made from flower essences and helps to take the edge off. Many folks that do rescue work swear by it. It’s very safe and you can get it at any health food store. See my referral listing for Natural Pet Food.
